Shifter vs Evomi
Looking for an Evomi alternative? Evomi ran cleanly, completing almost every request, but returned the smallest live pool of any network we benchmarked. Shifter served between two and five times more residential IPs online at test time, and answered roughly three times faster.

Several times the coverage, a third of the rate
Lowest published rate per GB from each provider. Evomi reaches $2.20 only on its 5 TB plan at $11,000 a month.

IP actives en ligne pendant le test
Distinct IPs each network had live and reachable at test time, not the size of its total network. Residential IPs rotate all day, so both providers serve far more addresses across 24 hours.

Shifter's widest coverage margin in the entire benchmark: 5.4 times the live US IPs, 136,667 against 25,320, from 1,606 networks against 625, and 364 ms against 1,278 ms.
How we measured this
For each request we opened a new connection through the provider's rotating residential gateway and read back the exit address from an IP echo service. A fresh connection forces a fresh exit, so distinct addresses measure the reachable pool directly.
Evomi and Shifter were tested with the same request counts, concurrency of 1,000, a 10 second timeout and the same target, one provider at a time on a single machine.
Each country ran at a fixed volume applied equally to both, from 60,000 requests in the smallest market up to 250,000 in the United States, 560,000 per provider overall.
What these numbers mean
Every count here is of IPs that were live and reachable during the test, not the size of either network. Residential addresses rotate throughout the day as devices come online and drop off, so both providers serve far more across 24 hours than a single window shows. The figure that constrains a crawl is how many respond at once, which is what this measures. Because sample size differs by country, compare the two providers within a country rather than between countries.
Pourquoi utiliser Shifter des proxies résidentiels ?
Two to five times more live IPs
5.4 times more in the United States, 3.5 times in the United Kingdom and 2.4 times in Germany. The widest coverage gap of any pairing in this benchmark.
Roughly three times faster
364 ms against 1,278 ms in the United States and 324 ms against 1,204 ms in Canada. Evomi was the slowest network we measured.
Four times the network spread in France
148 autonomous systems against 33. A pool concentrated on a few dozen networks is straightforward for anti-bot systems to recognise.
Cheaper at every tier
47% less at entry, 69% less around 100 GB and 66% less at each provider's best rate, without the 5 TB commitment Evomi's floor requires.
Questions fréquentes Questions FAQ
Common questions about how we benchmarked Evomi.
Point an HTTP client at an IP echo endpoint through both gateways, opening a fresh connection per request so each rotates, and count distinct addresses. Use identical request counts, the same machine and the same hour for both.
Get the depth a large crawl needs
Between two and five times more live residential IPs in every country we measured, answered several times faster. Test both on your own targets.
