I. General

1. What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept Credit Card, PayPal and Bitcoin. Please contact support if you need help with any of the accepted payment methods.

2. What is your refund policy?

We offer a 3-Day Money Back Guarantee for our services, during this time you can request a full refund if our services are not compatible with your proxy use case. Please be advised that we are not offering refunds for BTC payments, we recommend that you initially test our services using PayPal or Credit Card as payment methods.

3. Do you offer free trials or tests?

Unfortunately, we do not offer test or trial versions of our services. We do however have a 3-Day Money-Back Guarantee, so you can ask for a full refund within the first 3 days if our service is not suitable for your needs.

4. Can I set my payments as recurring?

You can activate recurring payments when you order your new proxy package. If you want to deactivate recurring payments, please open a support ticket at least 2 days before the membership expiry date, in order to process your request in time.

II. Affiliate & Reseller

1. Do you have an affiliate program?

Yes, we do. You can start earning from day 1 with Shifter a monthly recurring commission of 20% from all the sales your generated. Your affiliate account is activated by default when you sign-up for our services, you can find detailed information in the Affiliate section of your account.

2. When do I get paid my commissions?

We process payments to our affiliates every month, according to the revenue generated in the last 30 days.

3. I want to become a reseller. What is the procedure?

For high volume affiliates who want to resell our services we have a whitelabel program that works with your own private domain, your homepage and branding.<br><br>The whitelabel program also offers Tiered commissions based on the previous month's performance. Please submit a ticket on our helpdesk for further information and remember to include the domain name if you already have one.

III. Backconnect Proxies

1. What is a Backconnect Proxy?

A backconnect proxy is a special kind of proxy that connects to our entire proxy pool and gets assigned a new residential IP address every rotation time, depending on your settings. For example if you choose a 5 minutes rotation time, your proxy will receive a final residential IP exit address every 5 minutes.

2. How does it work?

Shifter P2P routing service allows consumers to browse anonymously by routing their requests through other users. We enable businesses to route their requests through the biggest P2P proxy network in the world. Our network is perfect for Crawling, Data Mining, Sales Intelligence, Brand Protection, Ad Verification, Self Testing, Talent Sourcing, Comparative Intelligence, Tickets, Social Media, Buying Sneakers & Amazon Ranking.

3. Are your IP addresses recognized by proxy testers as proxies?

Our proxies are 100% undetectable as proxies, due to the technology behind our network. Furthermore we only provide real residential IPs, that come from ISPs that provide internet services to home users, making them unblockable as well, unlike data center proxies.

4. What is the difference between the Basic Backconnect Proxy Plan and the Special Backconnect Proxy Plan?

Special Backconnect Proxies offer extended capabilities, and are suitable for high demand use cases. With Special Backconnect Proxies you are able to Geo Target the location of your residential IPs and also access websites that are locked for the Basic Backconnect Proxies, such as: Yandex, Outlook, Apple, GMX, Inbox, MyWay, Zoho, Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, Skype, Wikipedia, Xtremetop, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, YouPorn, Ticketmaster & many more<br><br>Basic Backconnect Proxies don’t have access to geo targeting and assign random residential IPs from all over the world, except Tier 1 countries like: United States, United Kingdom and Canada, while also restricting access to high demand websites that are only available for Special Backconnect Proxies.

5. How can I activate access to

In order to activate access to you need to open up a support ticket requesting access to the service. We request this in order to maintain our pool quality and low fail rate.

6. What protocols are your proxies compatible with?

Our Basic Backconnect Proxies support HTTP/S, while Special Backconnect Proxies support HTTP/S & Socks protocols.

7. How stable are your proxies?

Shifter is running its full service using state of the art cloud services, while continuously upgrading its capabilities. This allows us to offer a high degree of stability and support, making our service substantially different from other providers.

8. What countries can I target?

Geo Targeting is available only for Special Backconnect Proxies, and is available for any country in the world.

9. Can I assign a different country to each port or port range?

Yes, you can. Our advanced control panel offers full customisation options for your proxy ports. You can assign a default country for all your ports, or different country or countries for specific ports or port ranges.

10. How many authorized IPs can I set?

For each proxy port package you can add up to 100 authorized IPs, there is no limit on the amount of packages a client can have and authorized IPs can be shared among the packages of the same client.

11. I use dynamic IPs, can I still use your service?

Yes, you can, as you are allowed to set up to 100 authorized IPs for each proxy package. Most ISP’s assign the same dynamic IP addresses to customers over a couple of days, you can whitelist all of them and use our services. For advanced users, we offer API access, that can automatically whitelist your IP, with no need to log in to the advanced control panel.

12. How many IPs do you have in your pool?

We are currently offering access to more than 31,000,000 real residential IPs from all the countries in the world. Starting with the October 31, 2019 you will be able to see the exact number of available IPs for each country in your control panel.

13. How do I use your Backconnect Proxies?

All settings can be set from inside your membership settings control panel, using our user-friendly interface. Please refer to our in-depth guide for setting up your account <a href="\/start">here</a>.

14. Can I set the rotation time for my proxy ports?

You can choose any IP rotation time, from a minimum of 5 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes. The IP rotation time setting is available in the membership settings for each proxy package.

15. What is your Bandwidth Usage Policy?

With each of our Backconnect Proxy Plan, we offer a 40GB/Bandwidth for each port/month which is more than enough for any of our clients. For example, with 25 Ports you are allowed to do 1TB bandwidth per month.

16. How many simultaneous connections can be used for each port?

We allow a maximum of 50 threads per port, for example using the 25 ports package you use 1,250 threads simultaneously. We recommend that you fine tune your application or software to fit in this limits for maximum performance.

17. Do you offer dedicated pools?

Yes, we do. For large customers we offer custom proxy ports packages that connect to private pools, using a dedicated infrastructure only used by them. Private pools are unique for each customer, and offer outstanding capabilities and performance. Please reach out to us if you need more details about our private pool service.

18. How is Shifter different from TOR?

While TOR is a privacy tool for browsing the internet, Shifter is a residential business proxy provider that provides advanced services for its clients. Our IP pool is more than 1000 times bigger than TOR and we offer settings like: IP rotation time, GEO, ISP & ASN targeting and many more. Also our system supports connections using HTTP/S & Socks protocols, and it’s undetectable as proxy.

19. Do you allow crawling?

We allow crawling, as long as the information you want to crawl is not in conflict with any laws or regulations of your country of origin, or the destination website country of origin. It is your responsibility to comply with all the laws and regulations that you are subject to.

20. Do you SMTP mailing?

We do not allow SMTP mailing with our Proxy Services.

IV. Dedicated & Shared Proxies

1. What type of IPs do your Dedicated & Shared Proxies generate?

Our dedicated and shared proxies are using fast datacenter IPs from multiple subnets.

2. What is the difference between Dedicated and Shared proxies?

Dedicated proxies are unique for each customer, offering exclusive access to the IPs, while Shared proxies are used by a maximum of 3 customers who access the same IPs.

3. What is the difference between Dedicated/Shared proxies and Backconnect Proxies?

Dedicated and Shared proxies offer access to static datacenter IPs, while Backconnect Proxies offer access to 100% residential IPs from all over the world. In some use cases, datacenter IPs are blocked and detected by services and websites, and the only way to access them is by using residential IPs, that cannot be blocked or detected.

4. Where are your Dedicated and Shared proxies located?

Our Dedicated and Shared proxies are hosted in a high performance datacenter in Chicago, USA.

5. How can I connect to your Dedicated and Shared proxies?

You can connect using HTTP/S, using any browser or application that is using this protocol.

6. How fast are your Dedicated and Shared proxies?

Our Dedicated and Shared proxies are hosted in performant data centers, offering access to gigabit speeds and high stability.

7. Can I use your Dedicated proxies to access Social Media platforms?

Yes, you can use our dedicated proxies to access Social Media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Please open up a support ticket if you require this type of access.

8. Can I refresh my Dedicated proxies?

Yes, you can. We allow the refresh of the proxies once per month, after the billing date. Please open up a support ticket if you require to refresh your proxies.
