The cleanest run we have recorded
Massive answered effectively everything we sent it, in all five countries, with geo accuracy of 99.8% or better. Nothing was misrouted and nothing needed retrying, which is rarer than it sounds: several networks in this series lose a meaningful share of traffic or send it to the wrong country.
It is quick too. Medians ran 429 ms in France to 583 ms in the United Kingdom, putting it among the fastest we have measured, and in France and Canada it was quick enough to edge or approach our own timings.
So the engineering is not in question. What you are weighing is how much pool that buys, and at what price.
A mid-sized pool, and a hole in France
Across five countries Massive returned 131,627 live addresses against our 279,244. The United States is its strongest market at 84,827 from 250,000 requests, drawn from 1,138 networks.
France is the outlier. 80,000 requests returned 2,239 distinct addresses from 28 operators, against 33,581 from 148 for us in the same window. That is not a small gap, it is a different category, and on French traffic at volume the network will start repeating addresses almost immediately.
Germany and Canada sit in between, at 11,995 and 9,699 respectively. Advertised coverage is 195+ countries, but coverage and depth are different things, and depth is what constrains a crawl.
The price is the problem
Massive publishes $4.90 per GB on its Pro tier, the highest best-rate in our entire series. A 100 GB buyer pays around $5.50, and the 10 GB entry tier is $8.00 per GB.
Bandwidth rolling over month to month is a genuine plus for irregular workloads, and there is no long commitment. But at these rates you are paying a substantial premium for speed and consistency rather than for scale.
For comparison, our own published rate is $1.00 per GB at 100 GB and $0.75 from 200 GB, on a pool that measured more than twice as deep. That is a disclosed commercial interest, and the reason every performance figure above comes from a test anyone can repeat.
