On median, in four of five markets, yes: 333 ms against our 364 ms in the United States, and it led in Britain, France and Germany too. Canada went our way at 324 ms against 375 ms. Its p95 was tighter in all five, which is the more useful result of the two.
It answered 92.5% to 94.0% of requests depending on the market, with redirects the largest single cause and timeouts and 503s behind them. Single requests succeed reliably, so the shortfall appears under concurrency. Its true pool is therefore somewhat larger than the measured figures show.
Yes, with one thing to watch. Rayobyte carries its targeting parameters in the password field, where Shifter puts them in the username. Beyond moving those, migration means updating the host, port and credentials, a few lines in most stacks.
